I'm going to try and look at the EVO X one more time. As evident by HKS only lowering the rear the system is not ideal for making lower. The EVO X rails are oriented vertically, and lay directly on the chassis at the front of the seat. This is why you can't lower the front, because the rails are already on the chassis.

I had an idea the other night that I need to investigate but it's more involved than the solution used for the EVO VII-IX.

All this said - it is possible that lowering just the rear could yield good results. If it lowers the pelvis that will get the rest of the torso lowered, improve head clearance and give the lowered field of vision as well as improved alignment with the wheel and shifter. The angle of the legs would be a little more acute, but that might be OK.

I'll look into this a little more.

Hell, I'm only 5'10" and I feel like I'm way too high. But, I had Del Sol seats in my old ek, so I prety much got use to sitting on the floor! Wish I could drop the X seats about 1-2".

Kansai make a "best position" lowering rail...
apparently lowers the back up to 35mm and the front up to 15mm

I'm 6'5" and with a helmet on I'm having all sorts of trouble getting into a comfortable and effective driving position!

Tempted to give one a try

EDIT : ooops it looks like i was mislead by a website (Z1 Performance, update your info!)
"best position" actually look slike it RAISES the seat.
and the low position rail only goes 10mm down on stock at the back of the seat - hardly worth it

Good find. I'd like to know more about these and if they're still available.

Really, I just wish I could move in closer without clobbering my knee on the bottom of the steering column when I stomp the brakes.

When I first got into my X, I thought the seating was a bit too high and I'm 5'2", but then I told myself I'll get used to it and I did.
