This also happen to me after about 11,000 milesThe rough idle made it felt like i had cams in the which i didn't. I took it to RRE and they realize the loose hose was the problem. Now the car is back to normal

Awesome. I'll check it when I get home, even though I don't have any idle issues.

Mine is already zip tied. I didn't do it but the car's been in for service several times so maybe there is a service bulleton out and they did it at the dealership.

Every now and then you cross a Mitsu Tech that actually cares about cars and is knowledgeable... Great to see some dealerships see the problem.

Only when off boost. FPR is rising rate, so under boost with no pressure signal to the regulator you have no rising rate and you run dangerously lean.

I have seen this hose come off several cars including my own. Zip Ties FTMFW!

Uhhh, no, that hose is supposed to go somewhere, but your super-duper zoom makes it impossible to see where it's coming from...

I tap into that line for my boost gauge and then zip tied it. This way if it ever pops off I will know because the gauge wont read anything

There is a hose from the Fuel Pressure regulator to the intake manifold. Mitsu did not put any type of clamp on this hose. It will pop off and cause you to run lean, and ruin your idle. It is a simple vacuum line, but is difficult to see when trying to diagnose a problem...

The hose is located near the dip stick. All you need is a couple zip ties....

Heres a pic.

There are one 2 many "My idle is shaky" thread on the opening page..... this is likely everyones problem....
Mine was off too.........zip tied that sucker back on.

Thanks much!

Is it ok to have those ends still there or should I cut them?

I think that's the overflow tubing coming from the reservoir. Just let it be.
