No brake pads? No suspension upgrades?

Everyone always does power first...having a car that turns hard and brakes hard often is more fun than power.

Brake upgrades are a good idea, but the handling easily outclasses the power in stock form. Everyone starts with power because that's where the most work is needed.

I was thinking the same thing, your 1/4 mile time doesn't mean much if you can't stop it...or turn it.

The suspensions are being worked on i.e. still thinking of what would be best, I was thinking of getting the Öhlins Stage III DFV Coilover Suspension, but when I called them they said that it's not ready for the Evo-X. So I'm still thinking.

I agree at stock the handling does not need much doing to, but I'm planning on upgrading those anyway so it's just a matter of time until I choose a set, if you have any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.

As for brake upgrade I agree with you, I looked into that a while back when I building my list of parts up and I got side tracked. They all seem to cost an arm and a leg. Would you guys have a suggestion for good a good brake kit?

Ok guys, here's a little update, some of the parts arrived and we got starting on installing a few things but we only managed to get around to fitting the AMS battery kit lol, we took off the front bumper and IC, we've also loosened the Down pipe we need to wait for tomorrow to get the car lift working and we should change or take out most of the exhaust tomorrow hopefully.

For now here are a few pics of some goodies:

I know ARC makes an oil cooler, trying to choose between that and this HKS.

OP, nice on the F-Con setup. I'm thinking about that as well.

It's what's behind the mesh on the lower left fog light hole, right?

Well not sure what you mean by a a "race car" but it won't be our daily driver, just something to have fun with every now and then, hopefully fingers crossed

little update on today, we've removed the stock IC and Radiator, the new Mishimutu Radiator is ready to be installed along with the new Intercooler. Also by the time I finish this post the whole exhaust system should have been removed ready for AMS DP, Test pipes and cat-back. There aren't many pics today, but we managed to get the lift finally working....

I am loving this thread. Keep up the good work.

On a side note, those look like MR rim's. Is this an MR? If so, planning any tranny upgrades?
