Another evo got hit!

Unfortunately it is mine, and the person really needed to learn to look before backing up. It was hit in the parking lot. (I am asian, but since someone got offended I'll take it off) I don't want to offend anyone, but the whole story happened after I was done shopping grocery in a korean supermarket. After the lady hit me, she was really rude and refused to provide me her ID and insurance info. 2 employee from the supermarket witnessed the incident and refused to be witnesses to my accident and walked off. I did not raise my voice and told her to show the info or I am going to call the cops. Eventually I still did, and she showed them to me with reluctance. Then she took off before the cops arrived. The cops said there's nothing they can do (no surveillance camera was shooting our direction. I talked to the store manager but again, he wasn't very helpful.)

Sorry if I offended anyone.

Sadly, her suv hit me with her acute edge of her bumper, and she barely took any chip. My TT was hit the same way and it cost the insurance company 8000 dollars. Hopefully it isn't going to be too crazy on the repairs. Full coverage for the win!

Sorry about the accident - mine got rear-ended by an asian (indian) lady as well 2 days ago. They really need to pay more attention.

you do realize that her race had nothing to do with her hitting you right? that didn't need to be brought into the discussion at all. sorry about your car though.

I was thinking the same thing. but in all honesty race doesn't matter any more or less then the sex of the offender.

Sucks your car got hit. Race/Sex matter not. I too am not korean or female.

yeah, watch out for the "they" comments, they can lead to people using "ist"adjectives to describe you.

Thanks for editing. Did you get her license plate because that would be a hit and run case. There was no surveillance camera, but were you able to take any cell phone pics?

I too am Korean and I don't think there is anything wrong with mentioning nationality or gender in cases like this. It all depends on the viewer and the tone of the writer. A lot of news articles mention nationality, age, gender and sometimes even their religious standpoints when available, even if it has nothing to do with the rest of the story.

You can't ignore the statistics, Asian women cause more traffic accidents than any other gender/race combined, on per capita basis, not total figure. I would gripe about it if I were the victim of two wallet crippling accidents and both happened to be caused by Asian women (not making assumption on OP's previous accident but a case of my own), in a Hispanic dominant area. People who says 'women can't drive' in general don't say Danica Patrick is a bad driver, they agree that individuals can be different. It is like when someone says 'leaves are green', not many people will argue with that, yet it is not always true, as there are also yellow, purple and red leaves, and to color blinds they can be grey and to some insects they can be blue, but in real life, such kind of statement happens, and they can happen even if they are not needed (I mean why do people even need to say what color some leaves are? It provides no benefit to anyone)

Also there is no denying that a lot of Asian communities band together in the states, that is why China Town, Korea Town, Little Tokyo and such exist. There is nothing wrong with it, until such behavior results or aids in law breaking activity. I am willing to bet that the OP is non-Korean Asian, perhaps Chinese, and the offender was Korean, as well as the employees of the shop, they are refusing to be a witness either because the lady was Korean, or because she was a known customer at the shop, but of course this is just a suggested possibility, not a claim or an accusation. The OP was nice enough not to make assumptions or claims based on statistics or whatever he believed.

Good luck to you iamblue03, sorry to see such bad luck happen. You should do anything to nail that person as it seems she and her neighbor seemed very shady in the event, and had bad attitude. You will have to pay deductibles even if the insurance company agrees to cover, and I think that is very wrong in this case.

wwwaaaaa wwwwaaaaa. people need to stop crying about this type of crap. I always state the gender and race of someone I'm talking about whether it's good or bad. Call me a racist.....I really don't give a crap. It's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!! It's funny that so many people want to jump on the "Offended" bandwagon all the time. It's a bunch of crap. I've never once heard any other race/gender be called racist for saying "This white guy"...blah, blah, blah. Oh wait, I'm not a minority so I can't be offended. Get off your high horses and go cry to mommy.

Really has to do with the way it was said, not what was said.

If we're all gonna withhold things, accident stories are all gonna end up being, "My car was hit from behind by another vehicle driven by what I can only describe as a human being between the age of 5 and 105."

I don't want to make any biased opinions. Maybe I should have paid more attention, but what really upset me was her tone of voice. She did not exit her car at all to take a look at her own damage, and she had an attitude of "I hit you in a parking lot and it was not my fault." Sigh, I didn't want to argue with her so I tried to seek help from the people and employees close to us. Unfortunately nobody wanted to help me and instead the employee talked to the driver outside her car and walked off. I had already contacted insurance and I am pretty sure the outcome can go either way. At least I took pictures and called police and did every effort to protect myself. Thank you for everyone who reads this post and sorry I don't mean to bring racism/sexism into this incident.

lol exactly what I wanted to say, but didn't know how to put down in words

In this case, it would not only be just the details but also it could possibly have played an important role on determining why the offender and witnesses had such behavior.
