Hi,

I'm new to the forum...I just bought a 08 Evo x GSR (I traded in an 04 SRT-4 for it ) and the previous owner had done some mods to it. So I know a little bit about turbos but I am unfamiliar with the Evo's layout
I'm getting what sounds like BOV flutter. Here is a link to a vid on youtube that sounds just like what I have.

But what I am unsure of is what type of BOV the person put on car. It doesn't look familiar. Does anyone recognize this? And if so how can I fix this. Or let me know if something is missing?

Get rid of that setup, get the stock bov or something that works. Or upgrade, before something will go kaboom.

 

Yes find an OEM metal CBV, get rid of that Frankenstein one.

 

May as well get a new Lower IC pipe while you are at it, yours is all hacked up right now.

 

Well...I took it to a buddy of mines shop this morning and they did a pressure test on the BOV. Sure enough it has crapped out. It won't even open. Looks like I am getting a new one. Thanks for everyones input.
