u know when u rev the engine and the rpm shoots up? this is the first car where the rev falls extra slow. i was told this is due to some emission bs.

how do we fix it?

If you want the rev to climb up faster:

More power
Shorter gears and/or shorter final gear
Lighter flywheel

If you want the rev to fall faster:

Lighter flywheel

its not limited by flywheel, the electronic-controlled just keeps the throttle open longer for more complete combustion (and less CO emission). So far not sure if anyone has found a fix for it. It bothered me at first but is relatively minor so I just got used to it

now that someone mentioned it...it does fall kinda slow. doesn't really bother me though, but a lightweight flywheel helps a lot in making it climb faster.

that's the reason for the clunky and notchy shifting.

I never thought about it much, but that explains why it never gives grief when downshifting to slower gears as it hold rpm a bit.

yep, i've been saying on here for a while that if you let the RPM's fall a bit more before you shift that the shifts will be MUCH smoother.
