A lot of Cdn's paid within 5K of 50K USD. Actually including tax, it might as well have been 50K USD.

Worry not! Mitsubishi made sure that would happen with a cracked fuel pipe!

being serious though... why do we complain about a 50k Evo? It's not 50k... it's 38k... If you start adding accessories, price will skyrocket; that's how Car Manufacturers make money... a 50k Evo MR is the same as a 38k Evo MR... you're just paying Dealer price for a bunch of useless accessories. The other day I was quoting two cars that I'd like to get, a 2010 Mercedes Benz E Class and a Porsche Cayman 4S... it was all fine, the Benz being 48k and the Cayman around 50k... until I started adding SOME of the accessories I'd like to have (some of which ALREADY come standard on an 2010 Evo MR) well the Benz skyrocketed to around 78k and the Cayman was close to 80k as well.... I just had to laugh;

10, 20, 30k of accessories and extra crap cannot be justified, regardless of the brand name

50K isn't what it used to be in this country...not like it was way back in 2007.

^^^true. with the recent inflation in this country the dollar is not worth as much. thats why all the "jdm yoh!" parts are more expensive.

after all the incentives are gone, i'm sure people won't have a reason to jump on new evo's anytime soon. and the evo's are far from being worth $50k lol.

the economic nightmare hasn't improved enough to say things are O.K...with today's car data, i'm sure mitsubishi is ****ting their pants after they've seen the U.S. automaker numbers.

Porsche only makes a Cayman or Cayman S (no 4S). You're mixing it up with a 911 Carrera 4S. Base price on a Cayman S is $60,200.
