I was just curious.. it's completely in the way when I try to look behind me, so i'm either going with a lip spoiler, or nothing at all, but wanted to know if I was saving much weight if I did happen to take it off.. maybe 15 lbs?

Think so? Oh well.. not like i'm really that worried about it, but in terms of vision, it sucks. The lip spoiler is ok, but i'd love to to have that do-luck spoiler, but it only comes as the entire trunk for 1,100.00.

Japanese Mitsubishi site lists it at 10kg, which is 22lbs, but best way to check would be to actually measure it including all the bolts and washers.

i took it out and carried it around before. it definitely weighs more than five pounds. it was actually quite heavy for a spoiler, although i haven't officially weighed it. i think it's intentionally made heavier too, because most of the weight is what's inside the spoiler, not the spoiler itself. probably has to do with weight balance or something to that extent.

They had issues with the Evo 8/9 spoilers coming apart at high speeds (you've probably read posts on here to that effect). I'd imagine they beefed it up to make sure that doesn't happen anymore.

Naaa, not lowered... I just can't see out of the back and i'm sort of sick of that. I do like the look of the new MR touring and that's just a lip spoiler, so I may get one of those later.

Yes the big wing weighs at least 20 pounds, I have taken it on and off numerous times and I stand behind this claim. Big wing = fail.

yeah, I like the look of it too, but even it's 230.00 lol. For a little piece of painted plastic.
