Anyone having this steering wheel problem?

Guys, just a few days ago, the front airbag thingy that has the mitsu symbol on it and is actually the horn, started clicking upon turning the wheel and when I catch it with my hand, it feels like its broken loose and has a lot of free play.

Anyone else having this problem? Do you reckon I can get this fixed under warranty?

The horn (/airbag) actually has a lot of freeplay to it naturally (the whole plastic cover part is a floating piece that moves to make contact with a series of contact points to activate the horn).

The clicking is probably your clockspring. It's rather typical and the occurrence of it and severity varies from car to car. (The clockspring is was judges your steering angle and transmits the signals from your steering wheel audio buttons, cruise control buttons, and bluetooth controls).

You can try to have something done about it, but a lot of it has to do with tolerances of your steering column, steering wheel, and the plastic trim parts that attach to them.

Good luck!

It definitely sounds like the horn button is clicking. Going to do the mitsu recall for the front impact sensors, will badger them when I do that.
