^^ gotta say thats a jackass move right there. instead of just parking further and walking you take up multiple spots, reminds me of people with ridiculous sized trucks who need 2 spots or soccer moms in their tahoes who cant park right.

I Will say though that if you park FAR where no one else will park and you take up multiple spots there then thats fine just dont park CLOSE AND take up multiple spots.

if i saw an evo like that then i probably wouldnt care but any other car i would try my hardest to park next to it...

no i park in the back taking up 2 spaces. nobody really cares about it parking back there. im pretty sure if i took up 2 spaces up close then id get keyed lol. taking up 2 spots in the back just prevents anybody from wanting to park beside my evo.

And winds up with someone who cares less parked next to him. Or a run away shopping cart moving much faster than it would around other cars. I always try to find a nice spot close by (one at the end of a row maybe where you can be over a bit, or by a curb or something), but I won't go out of my way to avoid it. I won't park in tight spots either.

Edit: you said you park way back... All taking up multi-spaces there would do is show people you clearly don't want them parked by you. You're cool by me doing that

I like to let air out of tires when people do this

Honestly, they did a study on this and found if you park with everyone else your car is less likely to get vandalized/broken into.

yes i agree with that but parking with everybody else will get you alot of decents/dings that you will be unhappy with. id rather take my chances in the back rather than parking beside half of these florida drivers. (they are pertty bad down here). the only problem i have with parking in the back is the wife yelling at me for making her walk so far LOL

wow I cant believe you actually admit to doing this. This only brings more unnecessary attention to yourself, you feel like your car needs 2 spots because you're better than everyone else? People arent going to think well he doesnt want dings thats why he took up 2 spots. They are going to think this guy is an a**hole who doesn't know or care to park correctly.

Sad fact of life. I have one of those exact same marks, plus a 2 foot scratch near the rear where someone dragged something alongside my car, plus a golf ball sized dent. Around $750 US to fix it all.

I will park at the opposite end of a parking lot to stay away from people, but I'll come back and there will be an old SUV next to me.

That seriously sucks.

I park far away from the building, and my co-workers surround my car. It's the only way I can be sure that nobody will hit it with their door. Plus, this picture is my view from my office, so I can constantly watch!

if people would learn to respect other peoples cars then this wouldnt be a problem. obviously this works because A: no dings in the 7 years ive been driving. B: nobody has ever messed with my car (no flat tires, keying, ect done to my car. so you guys can still keep parking upfront driving around in circles trying to find a close spot lol. ill stick to the back taking up 2 spaces

sorry to hear your car got messed up tho. when i first got my license and had my driver side door basically smashed in by somebody being an idiot opening their door into mine. i learned the hard way to never park beside anybody and just be a dick and park in the back.

I hate people who park like you when you search the parking and there is no more space to park

OP,

That really does suck man. I've got a similar, but smaller, ding on my front passenger door. Unfortunately 75% of the other drivers out there don't give two ****s about theirs, or anyone else's car. Good luck with repairs.

To the guy that takes two spots,

You're an ***. .

I'd go get a beat up Toyota Land Crusher out of my friends lot an T-bone the **** out of this beemer. But to the owner of the X I feel for you. I just found some scratches on my car that can only be explained as malicious acts by some loser.(Not that T-Boning a BMW is a malicious act of some loser)
