Evo got assaulted AGAIN!

so in the 7 months and 10,000km or so of ownership, i've already had to endure a nasty scratch along my passenger door within a month or two of ownership.

this morning, i come out to something much worse. someone just opened their door into mine with no regard and scruffed up my paint badly. i swear i wish i could stop caring. i'm the guy that parks a million miles away and walks in a snowstorm to avoid parking next to these idiots. it just all seems futile. granted i think it happened in my underground parking...i'm gonna check the car next to mine for any suspicious marks. but i don't think he's stupid enough not clean off my paint if he did it. i do a walkabout to check for this stuff everytime i get into the car...so i really don't think it happened at work or the gym yesterday.

i vivdly remember inspecting my car last night after i had parked it in my complex's underground lot cuz it had been raining and all the dirt and salt had washed off and made my car sort of shiny. so i was admiring it and didn't notice anything then either.

I got security to pull the security tape, but my car's apparently in a blind zone. they did said they didn't notice anything unusual around that area though.

will that buff out easily if i take it to a detailer? i was hoping the scratch fixed after winter, but now both that and now this is gonna drive me nuts if i don't get them fixed

People have no regard for others property. My previous car an 08 CSRT4 was keyed by some a$$****. I wish I knew who it was so I could key his face with a linoleum knife...

That sucks!

I have a similar story. My passager front door was hit by a shopping car last month. Cost me 450 to get it fixed. Why is it that some people can't respect other people stuff? ...Don't get mad at me because my car looks better.

no matter how far you park it happens, it sucks but its something ive gotten used to. people just seem to flock around my car even when i park far or when i park so that someone can only park on one side of me.

currently got 3 noticeable dings on my drivers side 2 of which got paint taken off pretty bad 1 of which is more than a ding . i also have 1 minor one on my drivers side.

people dont care just take look, when your driving and look at peoples cars sooo many cars look like they were shot with tiny bean bags...

to the op im sorry this had to happen to your X i would be so upset i hope it buffs out dont give up on keeping your car ding/scratch free it is possible

Lightbulb

Wait for warmer weather and in the mean time do your best not to get more stuff. Than say March find someone that a local car dealer uses a lot to fix their cars and have them fix it. That's what I did with my Vw it was brand new and month later a few dings and scratches Than I called the best guy I knew and he fixed so well that I was like how. It worked out good like that. Insurance payed for it too plus a little extra from me for a job. Some people are just fantastic at what they do and they deserve to be rewarded for their skill.

P.S. Try not to sweat it so much. Do your part to avoid it but if it happens you have insurance and it can all be fixed replaced but you can't.

I usually park far away from the main stream of cars, and one day I parked beside a nice Mercedes because I thought that this person would be as worried about his car as I was about mine. I got back to my car just as he was leaving...there was a ding in my passenger side door from his door... it was too late for me to get his licence #.
