The gain on cams is modest compared to a turbo and they cost about the same. I'd go there first unless a loping idle is a priority for you.

There's no need to upgrade injectors or pump on the stock turbo unless you're going E85. The stock parts seem to be adequate for the stock turbo. Once you do upgrade then I'd just go with 1000's unless you're 100% certain that you won't ever run E85.

There's a very recent thread on intercoolers that you can check out.

Reds don't perform well if you aren't running 30psi and you can't do that on pump gas--you have to run meth/E85/race gas. If you're making a purchase today then I'd steer you toward a DOM2. If you can wait a month then we'll see how the BBK does...

You'll need the fueling upgrades for a larger turbo. You can install a pump & filter kits yourself--UR has a really nice kit, which is what I installed. You can install the pump without a kit but it won't look professional.

I would start looking at weight reduction....

drop a few hundred lbs on that pig and you will shocked at the gains....

Rims / Front Brake Kit / etc etc

AMS Front Brake Kit saves up to 32lbs!! SMALL BATTERY KIT

Thats what I would look into though is dropping the weight on your X not necessary adding more power but its just a thought.

PM Black Track ( ryan gates ) to see what additional weight savings he did on this X.

Lazy much?

The DOM and BBK are/will be in the $1700's with upgraded wastegate actuators. The Red has been on sale for as low as $1200 but $1400 is the current advertised price. Lots of guys get the optional porting on the Red and that bumps up the price.

I imagine there will be a number of used Reds available if the BBK turns out as we expect.

Have you looked in to getting a throttle response kit small but vary effective mod.
