Post your 0-60 Times!

Hey guys I have an 09 WRX with a lot of bolt ons and I have been looking into getting an Evo X. My car made 320 whp and 335 wtq on HB Speeds dyno and on the AP I got a 0-60 time of 4.45 seconds! So I am curious to see what some Evo X guys are doing the 0-60 in....

Please list:
1. Wether your car is a GSR or MR
2. Mods
3. Dyno #'s if you have them
4. 0-60 Time

The list so far:
1. BigT: 4.0 Sec Post #3
2. UT_EvoX: 4.15 Sec Post #16
3. Weebles: 4.32 Sec Post #9
4. Webman 5.0 Sec Post #23

A real 0-60 time not only requires you to launch the car, but quite a quality launch at that. In which case, your 0-60 times will soon be about 4.toastedclutch seconds.

The best I can muster up so far was 4.0 secs. This was logged through evoscan so it might not be that accurate due to the sample rate. Full boltons and a self tune.

And you are right that is why I have not launched my car since.... I am posting this thread to get feedback from people who have launched their cars and their experiences....

Thanks! .5 seconds though is a huge power increase

I am just trying to justify getting a new car again and starting all over as far as payments and modding etc...

I have had a 85 Chevy Blazer<93 325i BMW<07 Honda Fit<09 WRX so everytime I get a car it has been a step up from the last but both the Honda and Subie I bought new within the last 3 years so thats why I am trying to do a lot of reaserch before I do it all again.

Are you trying to use 0-60 times to equate to how fast the car is? If that's the case, trap speed in the 1/4 mile is a the best indicator of how fast a car is.

Yes I am trying to use 0-60 times because it is the best comparison I have compared to my car. I have never done the 1/4 in my car so I thought 0-60 would be the next best thing.

0-60 is kind of a farce without serious timing equipment. IMO, its kind of for magazine racers.

1/8th mile and 1/4 mile are much better estimates to measure your car's acceleration capabilities when comparing to other cars.

0-60 isn't a true indicator of how fast a car is. It's more about the driver's skill launching the car and the car's ability to get traction right out of the hole.

Plus, there isn't a universal device that is used by everyone to give you a direct comparison of 0-60 times...unless you look at magazine times, but they won't have times for modded cars.

My advice to you. Check the Subie forums and get a good idea of what a similarly modded Rex runs in the 1/4 mile (since you've never run the 1/4 in your car). I think a stock 2009 WRX traps around 101mph. Depending on your mods, you could easily be in the 105mph range or higher. For reference, a stock 2010 Evo X runs around 103mph. Once you start modding the Evo, you can easily get over 110mph without breaking a sweat or breaking your wallet

This. 0-60 is mainly driver and really isn't a great indication of power.

However according to my Cobb AP; 4.32 seconds

08 Evo X MR, TBE, UICP, HKS drop in filter, Cobb OTS stage 2.

Use the 1/4 mile function on your AP for a better comparison....

Thanx for the time. I live in SoCal and I have not found a place where I can run a 0-1xx and back down to cruising speeds

I also agree, use the 1/4 mile to see what your car does. I only see 0-60 times in magazines. I see you live in So Cal, go to one of the Street Legal drag race events at Cal Speedway in Fontana and then post your times.

Not to be difficult I appreciate the advice but between being a full time student/ working full time @ retail during the busy time of the year and prepping for our biggest sale the day after x-mas I have very little time. Today is my 1st day off this month thats why I am posting on the Evo Boards I saving my $$$ so when 0% comes back I will be on it like white on rice. I also want navi/leather seats and SSS package w/o the wing!!!

I have seen stock Evo X get tuned and make almost the same power as my WRX I just like feedback on the car. My dad has a 1990 GSX that is gonna make around 450 whp off pump 91

That's cool. The racing season is over anyway and you could try your luck at the 1/4 sometime next year. At the drag strip it's pretty safe, no worry about cops, and you get a time slip that shows your e.t. and trap speed. That will give you an indicator of what your car is doing power wise than a 0-60 time. Good luck.

So from a little research I should be hi 12's to low 13's 1/4 time with a trap around 105 give or take.

With is a stock turbo X capable of w/ bolt ons in the 1/4 mile?

I have an 09 WRX and it is the biggest turbo they have ever put in a WRX which is similar to the STI's turbo for reference
