K&N filter for x

Is there any problems with using the k&n panel filter in a x that i should be aware of? How does it rate for air flow ?

just becareful with the amount of oil used. there have been reports of the Mass Air Flow sensor being ruined due to the oil kit. Its likely to happen more so with a turbo set up than a regular NA engine.

Others may be able to advise you better on this.

I did quite a bit of research on panel filters and went with the perrin. Other one I considered was Cosworth. The Ralliart was too expensive...

+1 on the MAFs going bad.

Im running the HKS and all seems good to me.( Its a dry filter) Plus your BOV will be louder

I went with AFE since it's a dry filter. A number of people have had repeated MAF failures from oil coming off of an oiled filter.

The stock airbox flows plenty of air...probably adequate for anything short of a T3 upgrade. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go with the AEM intake (a conical filter inside of a replacement air box).
