After reading your first post I think the MR will suit you best. With some light mods and a tune, it really wakes up. If you can keep the Camaro you should, it could turn into a really fun project. The ride on the MR isn't bad at all, you do feel some bumps but never anything backbreaking.

Ultimately, test drive! Try both the MR and GSR if you can, see what you think personally. Pretty sure with your needs, the MR will win ya over

Interesting thread, I have a "Monster Miata" with a 5.0 V8, and a Honda S2000, both similar 2 seat roadsters but polar opposites to drive, I love both! The MR-T motor slots about half way between the two in torque/rpm tradeoff and out handles both cars, and is more fun to drive than either roadster making me want to find someplace to drive to. Not bad for a semi-practical daily driver!

BTW, I'm getting 370whp and 390 lbft (as of yesterday) on the stock SST with out problems.

I just made that change three weeks ago. After years of being on the Vette forums and modding I decided for a change. Nothing compares to the raw power and sound of a cammed pushrod V8. My opinion tho, but the loud exhaust and the heavy clutch can get old. After being told I have tendinitis in my left ankle I decided to give the SST a try. I will never buy a Vette with auto. So far the Mrt has been sweet except I need to do a few mods and take it to CBRD.

I agree, I would never do an auto trans on a vette... But the MR seems to be a good fit especially when I see great videos of them zipping around the track with tight gear changes and keeping the driver focused on cornering. CBRD looks like the top place to take the evo's/subbies here on the east coast. Looking forward to checking out a black MR on saturday as well.
