This is the shorter and fatter filter than the one that came on my car from the factory. It's what the part's guys at Mitsubishi gave to me when I asked for some.

But I can't find an oil filter wrench for this guy. I want the one that goes on the end of a socket wrench, and can't find anything. I already have one for the skinnier filter, but this one has me stumped.

Can anyone refer me to a size or part number at Autozone or Amazon or something?

 

At autozone, it was the smaller spider type oil filter wrench (3 arms to grab onto the filter and it connects to a 3/8" socket). If you have the same type of oil filter wrench, I'm surprised it won't fit the mz690116 filter, which is still quite small. Go to autozone and get their smallest one and it should work.
