Manual at home - Red ((!)) - Brake?

Hi all.. I am pretty sure I already know the answer, but I want to confirm.

I am getting the following red symbol: ((!)) and my E-Brake light is flipping on.

What gives? What's the manual say is the cause?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that symbol is for low tire pressure.

This warning shows up on braking/acceleration, then blips off. Don't think it's TPS.. manual states exactly what it is, but I don't have it in the car.. =(

I had a similar issue when I removed the console housing for the e brake. There is a clip for the sensor, which can bind if it is assembled improperly. This can cause the e brake light to come on when the brake is off.

I would take the console apart and check the wiring to the brake.

Thanks - I had taken the console off in the past, I'll look into this.

Thanks all. Pads are worn way down, brake fluid isn't even visible in the reservoir on driver side firewall. Grrr.. new pads time.

You're welcome haha! =P

Sometimes the obvious problem becomes too obvious. It says brakes, why look at something else
