just looked in my owners manual and its says LSD gear oil or equivalent.
i am being told by a Mitsubishi dealership that both uses manual transmission fluids and thats what their system is saying.
just wanted to confirm.

You need this for the tcase and the ring/pinion side of the rear diff (drain plug towards the front of the housing, fill plug on the front of the housing):

The torque mechanism side of the rear diff takes ATF (the drain plug towards the rear of the housing, and the fill plug on the back of the back of the housing):
