Thumbs down Went to a Maywood, NJ dealer for a erratic idle.

hi all,

this morning i went to a dealer to check on my 2010 GSR.

About 3 weeks ago my idle was unstable, it was going up n down between 500 to 1500 rpm. i checked all the hoses and didnt see anything. so i contacted my dealer and made an appoitment.

i waited 3 hours this morning.... after the diagnosis, the serv. adviser told me that they spoke to Mitsu Tech assistantce and performed value test, learn value reset, retested car. so i thought everything would be ok now......

i started the car and on my way to work, stopped on traffic light..... the rpm strted going up to 2000prm by itself. now the car runs like ***t, it got so much worse than before. on any gear without a gas, the car jerks like there is no tomorrow. so i called the service dept, and told them about whats going on with the car. only thing they said was just bring it in again??? i am so frustrated... i didnt feel like they were trying to help me solve this problem on my car.... i also asked them if they test drive my car and they told me 'of course' yeah right.... what a disappointment....

Bell Mitsubishi told me irratic idle was "normal for these cars". My X is all stock.

Oh and long waits at Mits dealer is common, i learned my lesson once. Now i always bring my laptop everytime to make time go by fast.

They shouldnt be checking your engine bay for replacement on a tpms, I wouldnt worry man. I go there too if the car ever needs stuff that I want done back to factory specs or whatever need be. I like them a lot. The salesmen all suck ***, but the service and parts dept guys are all cool as hell.

For the same reason that when I went to get my gixxer inspected at the Lodi station when I first got it, they said I couldnt have a smoked shield on my helmet so they said come back with a clear shield. I went to Paramus, and told them what Lodi just told me and they go to me...what??? Thats absurd, we cant fail you for that.

Answer: Miscommunication!

Or, its obviously something Bell had dealt with before and Maywood perhaps never did. Cant expect perfection on everything.

Never take your car to a stealership.. Tech are so dumb there and know nothing.. your better of going to a tune shop were they know alot about Evo's and get it fixed cheaper, quicker, and done right...

I went to maywood for a few recalls and they didnt say anything about my mods. I would go to maywood for basic work and Bell for more complicated work. The guys at Bell really know their stuff.
