Help finding the cabin air filter?

Before you guys flame me, i tried searching the forums but only could find a write up for the older Evos...i removed the glove box to get to the air filter but i dont see it. Sorry im an amateur at maintaining my car, i always pay for someone to do it. But since i got the EVO, i promised i would learn to do everything myself. If anyone knows where i can find a write up with pics, it would help. I got the glove box off but i really dont know where the filter is...save the laughter for later. I have an 08 EVO X.

Don't sweat it, man.

Props to you for wanting to learn yourself - that's the best way to understand your car, know its in's and out's, and troubleshoot anything with it.

As for finding it, ^ what the last guy said.

Good luck and don't hesitate to ask for help here - there are a lot of helpful people who have taught me a lot!

In detail, you have to remove the access cover.
When you pull the glovebox out, there is a rectangular shaped access cover (about 1 1/2in. tall by about 10in wide) just above the cylindrical shaped blower housing.
The access cover clips on at each end - the best way to remove it is to pull the clip on the right-hand side of the cover toward you. Once you get the right-hand side of the cover off, you can rotate the cover toward the left and remove the other side.
The cabin filter is laying flat inside this opening and slides out toward you.

It sounds more complicated in writing - once you get in there and figure out how the cover is attached, it's a piece of cake!
