help me find a part... without pictures!

since i dont have the part i cant 'show it' to you
but i can describe it

the part is located on the engine bay next to the power steering reserve..
is a silverish box w/ fins...

what is it? is it have it or die part? part number if possible...

long story short
someone broke in... and took that thing for what ever reason.. maybe is because is shiny.. beats me...
any help appreciated

not terribly helpful, but maybe they were in the same boat.. didn't know the part or its number for their x and you were the unfortunate recipient of his search.

wish he had thought to ask on the forums instead.

Look at pictures of other peoples cars. Grab it, and circle the part you are missing.

That looks like something to do HID's. Or some sort of Inector resistor box.
