Old Drivers
Stockers, He pulled out at the last second, I tried to push my brake through the floor, apparently was not enough.
But I must say he was a very kind and innocent old man, I feel rather bad even though it was his fault.
Any one have any idea why when I let my clutch out in 2nd gear the car didnt shut off?? I had to turn the key to turn the car off.

My car after the accident was in 4th gear and engine still running.
I found out the clutch line and support were broken broken and gear went back to neutral by himself.
As for repair, as long it didn't damage the chassis itself you will be fine.

Well I have a couple guys here right now who say they think its repairable, personally I think they are crazy, so what happens now, they take it to the autobody repair shop of my choice, they "fix" it, and then suppose I start having tranny related problems, what then?

It seems kind of low, but who knows maybe it is enough.
Honestly I would push for them replacing it, get someone to do a true estimate on it including labor. It will be at least 20k I am guessing if they include a tranny etc.
I wouldn't advise the suing route unless necessary. My lawsuit on my Evo 8 took over two years and all I got was 7k from it. I invested all the time to do research, get it inspected and everything and my lawyer got like 15k. It's all bull****, he said that was his fees, lame.
Lawsuits really suck and you won't see anything for a while. Just food for thought.

Well, I have a lawyer that got my civic fix, free rental car, and money in my pocket. The way she works is that its 50/50 and she only gets payed when u do. My civic had over 5k plus got 10k...then she got payed on top of that...all I had to do was let her do all the work.
So if u need a good lawyer PM me
Good luck

IMHO take your car to a high-end specialist for a full inspection of EVERYTHING so that the repairs will bring your cars specs 100% back to original specifications. Most body shops/mechanics overlook a lot of important details that will slowly break down and show with added mileage and most body shops just don't give a sh*t. You have to take the car apart to a certain extent to even see other damaged areas and all that damage is at the responsibility of that elderly driver.
You have to fight to get what you deserve in this situation. Find a good, expensive body shop/mechanic and have them run a full scale inspection down to things misaligned or crooked on the opposite side of the collision and inspect all body panels. Judging by those pictures I'd say 10,000 worth damage is really low because when I got rear ended even without having much visible damage the cost came out to over 6,000 because so many other items/areas weren't noticed until taken apart. You definitely have frame damage and in this case your engine will never sound or drive the same...
The energy exerted onto your evo from the impact will show on the opposing side of the car... front crash beams and crumple zones only do so much...
Good luck and I hope it all works out for you.
Body shops will always say that a car is "repairable" because they get paid for the work. Simple as that. They're losing money by saying that a car has been totaled.

Like a guy told me " No problem bro, I will make it like new by pulling the frame "

I honestly only trust maybe a handful of people to touch my evo.. I learned the hard way with my last subaru.
If you for some reason end up getting it fully repaired, I suggest scrutinizing every little detail before signing off and agreeing that the work is complete. Don't let the shop/insurance agent get away with cut corners.
Again, good luck.
