Fool Proof Method to Protect Your EVO?
I have seen these air hydraulic jacks in f1 cars that are on the cars frame rails. They just put a air line on and the car go's up about a foot. But I have know idea what they are called. Well at lest that way your car will be off the ground and you can't more it.
i thought about this.... but then it makes it all the easier for them to just roll under your car with a rachet and a socket and then bye bye turbo back, wheels(alread off the ground they dont need any blocks to set it on), brembos take about a second to come off, sway bars, and any other shiny parts under there...
...although these jacks would be sick for working on your car, never worry about jack stand or floor jack, just hit that button and up you go!!!
i may have to check these out
..on second thought you could prolly even use those trailer jacks that run off a battery, weld 4 to your frame and wire them to an extension cord end, that way you can drive it into your garage and plug it in and up you go! or if you wanted to throw like 3 batteries in your trunk you could do it anywhere

has worked well so far.
I don't think there's any way to truly protect your car. And LoJack doesn't work in buildings and its old school every thief worth a crap can disable it.
However, I thought about this. Get a $10 a month ad-on to your cell plan, wire it into your trunk or somewhere no one would look, and use one of the carrier's programs to track it. Most cell carriers have a service where you can track any phone on your computer, or even on your phone, for kid safety. I'm sure it would work fine for evo safety.

The cell phone idea is good. I like it.
Isn't the new LoJack system supposedly pretty good? I got it on my Evo when it was new, but you had to actually ACTIVATE the system by calling the Police. The new system I hear is a keychain and a wireless detector in the car- if the said keychain is more than 50 feet from the car, it won't start. Not sure if this is correct though.
Still doesn't solve people hijacking the car without starting it, however.

Pretty nifty device that will entirely immobilize the car. Wired so complex that they have a select rep per region that has to do the install.

This combined with turning the front wheels and locking the steering wheel knuckle under neath would make flatbedding most likely not worth someones time.
But as stated above if someone is determined anything is about possible.

with this device you would have to use more than one or make sure that the wheels you put it on are the ones that wont be lifted/towed.
i would like to see a version of this that connects to the axle and if you use 4 of those, you'd have to fork lift the car on the flatbed...
