who still has their Evo Xs completely in stock form?
I bought my car with 5K miles. I have 11K now. My car is complete stock. I'm probably going to drop the car eventually. But only after my credit cards are paid off.
I like waiting until the warranty is over to do mods. It gives you some time to just spend time with the car stock.
If people don't think this isn't capable stock. You are just nuts. A couple mods will add more power and you feel an acceleration, but Evo's are about cornering. Not 1/4 miles. They are capable but it's the cornering that separates it.
I'm satisfied with my car now.

Just traded in my 8 for a 10 last week and I have to say I am loving the civility of the 10!
I live in NYC and the problems or rather little niggles I had was cops looking to pull me over because of the exhaust and/or wing. Dodging potholes because the lowered ride height from my coilovers.
These issues are no more but....I wish it was scary fast like before. So my issue now is what mods can I do to create a silent, civil road course monster?
I'm tempted to get a bigger turbo, cams and supporting mods but keep the stock or stockish exhaust. I figured if all that with an exhaust might fetch me 450(?) then with an exhaust I am getting basically stock feeling X with 380+! Would be nice.

completely stock. Currently in talks with CBRD for having its cherry popped. Bought the car on 21 mar 2008, so 2 years down. Already had warranty fix bad mounts and some other stuff like that. So I am comfortable with mods now since I got 2 years under the belt now.
I have had mine for about a year and am still stock...however, when the warranty is up I will begin to mod. I am really enjoying the car in stock trim though, the handling is already very good and it has enough power (for now).
1200 miles and stock...will just powder coat the stock wheels satin black and maybe a drop in air filter this summer. Whenever I get out of my car, I contemplate getting back in and driving some more..everytime.
