Evo X interior - need Outlander parts
I was just at the dealership and I saw an Outlander Limited on the showroom floor. I jumped in and man, the interior has some really nice bits in it. The A/C knobs have an expensive weighted feel to it - not at all like the Lancers which click cheaply. Of course, it had the nicer multi-colored LCD info display. The thing I couldn't believe was the stitched leather console and door panels that came with it! Wow, who would've thought Mitsubishi would have leather bits anywhere other than the seats.
I'm just wondering how much it would be to retrofit some of those parts onto the Evo. I believe the A/C controls should be pretty easy. Maybe the leather stitched door panel pieces. The console looked very different so I'm sure that won't fit. Just thinking out loud.

Trust me they are different. I don't know what year or model your wife's Outlander is but the 2010 Outlander Limited had them. They have a chrome ring around them as well. I tell you. Once you turn the knobs, your fingers will be in love.
BTW, if I remember correctly the MSRP of the SUV was somewhere around $36K! Ouch, that's a little steep.

Our interiors were designed to be light. If it was 500 lbs heavier, people would complain, and the STI might finally have a chance at beating the Evo. But, for now, if you want luxury, go buy a BMW.
