cobb map? going back to stock issues?

cobb map? going back to stock issues?

ok here's my situation, i have the stage 2 map for my evo x mr. i have to go back to stock exhaust for like 4 or 5 hours but will go right back to the greddy, my dongle for my cobb ap is broken and i cant change the map back to stage 1, will i be fine as long as i don't speed? or how does this work. its the full turbo back btw

The main difference between the stg 1 and stg 2 maps is the amount of boost. I think you would be fine for a little while if you have to do that. I would suggest staying out of boost range. Just my $.02.

I would contact Cobb asap and figure out a solution to the broken part you need for future reference.

Maybe someone local also has a Cobb AP and could lend you their dongle for a while.

i have contacted cobb and since i bought the AP from this forum i really have no proof of purchase, so they said i have to buy a new one for $80.00 :P

You should be fine...I would just take it easy on the boost until you can get the exhaust back on.

You want to start penny pinching after buying a X MR and An AP, wow some Evo owners. Just buy it and find out its only $14, it comes down to how bad do you need it.

^ that will NOT work.

All the logic to write the map to your car is on the thing that attaches to your car (i.e. the dongle). Some generic thing off Ebay will not get you there.
