How is the Evo X ride in comparison to Evo VIII or IX?

I am contamplating moving to an EVO X. I have a stock EVO VIII which I am trying to sell. On Michigan roads it is a bit rough for daily drive. I use it as a daily driver and therefore is looking for a smoother ride on Michigan roads.

I also came from an evo viii, and I think it is way smoother. it's no caddy but very tolerable compared to the viii.

I went from a stock suspension VIII to a now lowered X. Stock for stock, I think the ride is better. But there are many factors. I'm still on the factory Advans, which are a great tire, but not as forgiving as some of the others out there. Now that I'm lowered, I think the ride is better on the small bumps(progressive springs), but worse on the big ones(higher spring rate).

If you want a smooth DD...what about a 335?

I have a evo x and my friends have a evo ix and a 335i. My evo x has a smoother ride then my friends evo ix more space in the evo x but no trunk at all in the evo x.

But if you want a real smooth dd go with the 335i they can make some good power with some mods to u can easily get 400whp out of the stock turbos.

Get a 335d, 425 tq from the factory.

But to answer your question: The X is worlds beyond the VIII in DD-ability. Not just the ride quality, but everything over all. The interior is nicer (overall, including gauges, stereo, etc etc) and with the way they've set the car up there's a lot less turbo lag.

Other than the smaller trunk space, for normal life, the X is a much better car.

The X on Bilsteins is very comfortable. If you have a GSR, just get some Bilsteins from someone changing their MR to coilovers.

I used to be in Europe and they had only the 330d at that time. It is a nice car and gives excellent fuel economy. I am sure 335 D does the same too. I think there is nothing that beats the EVO's in terms of bang for the buck.
