Finally getting an evo!

I’m finally going to pick up the keys to my 2010 ww evo x in less than two weeks from now! I’ve been drooling over this car for more than two years now and I’ve finally made the move. I just can’t wait anymore!

I used to drive a mazda 3 which I sold back in the summer of 2008 and have been stuck sharing a yaris with the girlfriend since then. The original plan was to sell the 3, then get a X, but things came up, we bought a house, did some work onto it, so I had to put my plan aside for awhile… My patience will soon be rewarded though.

I’m lucky that one of my good friends’ father co-owns multiple dealerships and one of them happens to be a Mitsubishi. The only issue is that the dealership is at about an 8 hour drive from my place… The deal is really worth the drive though! And the way I see it is that the breaking-in period will be over when I get back home!

So, earlier this week, I asked the salesman with whom I was dealing with to send me a few pictures of my car so I could stare at them while I patiently wait to go pick the car up and here’s what I got:

I was like WTF??? What have they done?? I immediately emailed the guy back about these stickers and stripes and they will take them off no problem. Ouf! I was glad that I had asked for those pictures as it would have been quite a shock to see this after my 8 hour drive to get there. You know, when you’re expecting to see a normal ww…

I can’t wait to start modding this thing!

By the way, if anyone reading this is from around the ottawa/gatineau area and drives an evo, let me know!

See ya!

Congrats man you'll definitely love the car! +1 on the decal removal too. I had a long drive to pick up my X when I bought her too but the drive back I was all smiles.

Yeah I was in the same boat! had to drive close to 12hrs to pick my WW GSR up last Tuesday. The drive back was long as hell, but the excitement and the rush of driving your new car is priceless.

Congrats!

There's no account for bad taste, is there. What was that dealership thinking when they slapped that ugly-a$$ vinyl on a brand new $34,000 vehicle?

Are you saying that the heated seats are only included with the perf package? I can't find the info on Mitsu canada website...

And $52,000 for the MR!!! Sucks considering the Canadian and American dollars are pretty much the same right now.

Oh and Americans have a lot more options when it comes to their EVO packages. For Canada MR's only come one way.. and GSR's two I think (you can add the handling package).

You can either get the base gsr or with the performance package which gives you:
-2 piece front rotors
-bilstein front and rear shock absorbers + eibach springs
-MR BBS wheels
-Large rear spoiler

that's it. That package cost $3k more

Crester: I'm located in the ottawa region
