Correct me if Im wrong, but hasnt the RS typically been the barebones version of the evo? This SE has heated seats, bilistein shocks, SST, possibly the option of sunroof? I dont see the correlation to the RS...

umm....an RS would be different overall compared to an SE no matter how you look at it even if you say it's a US version...

maybe because you see no wing and a better handling platform may you see it as an RS but no...sorry buddy

regardless tho, nice find on the video

No, that's not an equivalent to the RS. It's just another in a series of attempts by Mitsubishi to devalue the marque. It sure seems like there's been a shift in leadership over the last few years. Enjoyed the video, though. Thanks for posting.

Man, I want the two piece rotors!
I sure wish there was a manual option on the SE.

Are the HIDs and heated seats supposed to be standard equipment on the SE model??

Strange.. I never knew that heated seats were even an option on the evos

I wonder if putting a 5 speed as a option would kill them

They're trying to recoup their R&D for the TC-SST hence the reason they're coming out with yet another model (SE) featuring it.

yeah, but what they should be doing is using the SST in other models. i think the euro outlander can be had with SST. so why not replace their autos with SST like VW did with DSG? dont see why they cant use cheaper clutch packs and program it to be really economical with fuel and put it on their lower end models instead of autos and CVTs... and for sports cars like the evo they can use the best clutch packs and most aggressive shift programming... f*ckin stupid mitsu...

It's a cheap MR.. and I think that's the point.

I usually don't mind driving a manual, but for a daily-driver I would've preferred getting the SST.. just didn't think it was worth spending the extra $6k. But for only $2k extra, it seems like a pretty fair deal. Plus I really like the MR-T's lip spoiler and the nifty SE badge, lol.
