Guys I really need HELP
Thanks for the input this has been such a stressful experience and its nice to have a place to go to get some advice without bias. All I want is my dream car evo and Im even paying MSRP lol this should not be that hard.
Unfortunately as of right now I do not have the car I did not take delivery because I was quite upset about the state of the car....there were some major scratches and scuff marks and the idle was the last straw. When I did drive the car i was shifting around 3,000 rpm but when I brought it back to the dealer to show them it sat for 5 min or so at idle and continued to do it. seems like it did it no matter what. I guess all i need to know is am I over reacting or is this a common occurrence. It looks like this may be common, but with 800 miles from an unknown dealer driver i don't want to take any chances.
Please don't rush this, you will regret it later TRUST ME. I say start over, collect your head. And get a new car with less than 50 miles. With 800 miles, you're buying a USED car. If it were me I wouldn't pay invoice for a car with 800 miles.
Thanks migs647 im deff not going to take this one its to important to me being my first evo and its a lot of money to just throw around and not be completely satisfied.....
I think he's having trouble finding one in his area. Everyone talks about south coast in Cali. Why not give them a try? They sell so many Evo's I'm sure they're more than willing to give you a good deal and have it delivered to your door as well.
You can try southcoast, but I've had nothing but headaches from them. You can virtually call any dealer in the US and they will ship it. If you call Auburn Mitsubishi and talk to Paul, He'll match southcoast's prices and I bet he'd be willing to ship one out. Just make sure it has no miles.
yep check your fuel pressure regulator hose. this was the exact same symptom as shown in another thread. i checked mine after that thread and it was on there. you also want to see if you have the coolant overflow hose. i didnt have mine and it was brand spanking new when i got it
may you take a picture of this coolant overflow hose? I'm curious to check mine. Just don't know the location haha.

they could have disconnected the battery or deleted learned parameters in the ecu for whatever reason either at the old dealership or the new one and it could be relearning fuel trims and idle hunting.
you should drive it for a good 15 minutes and let it idle for several minutes then restarted it to see if it had to relearn.

Call South Coast Mitsu..
They are awesome and sell more Evo's than anybody. But you have to deal with Sam.
