A "new" car can have 100k miles, doesn't mean it's new condition.

Thanks for all the feed back guys! Here is the status update for that....I walked! Im going to another dealership that will be able to help me better lol. Just to let you know what made me finally walk was the had the scratches fixed but drive it 100 miles to have it done lol without telling me...Fail! I found more scratches after awards the car had 940 miles on it.....I just felt like I was being ripped off so I got may ralliart back and my down payment and am going somewhere else. I want it to be perfect. As for the dealership apparently they do not know the value of this car and dont know the sentimental value it holds to its owner!

As a word of advice when you spend that much money dont be impulsive as hard as it may be. Get what you want and you will not regret it.

Thanks again to everyone who chimed in you guys kept me from settling and I greatly appreciate that. As for the new car when I get it I will post some pics.

Thanks again!

Awesome.... good choice man. Unfortunately dealerships can't sell sentimental value though :-/

Good for you man! Someone said it earlier in this thread that you'd always question where those 800 miles went. You may have saved yourself a clutch job in the future as well. Who are you going through to buy your X for curiosity sake?

DEFINITELY check the vaccum hose that goes to the manifold.. if you see a little gold nipple showing... you'll know that's the problem.

Well Valley Mitsu came through, having the car shipped in on a personal one car trailer completely covered! Phantom black GSR cant wait. Best part I held out and this one has less than 20 miles on it. Cant believe I almost took a "new" car with 940 miles on it. Thanks guys will post pics when the car comes in!

Mine was driven in 140 miles from dealer A to B, to get me mine in 08, I wasn't worried about it. It DID develop the idle problem but it took a TBE to incent it to do it. I'm at 41,000, and the car is as bullet proof as a Camry, more if you don't try to race it. The racing is hard on metal, the idle was just odd, who knows stuff. My idle thing hits me at least three times a day, but I drive 80 miles a day M-F. At hwy speed, I rock. On the TRACK, I don't get passed much, TBE as the only mod. Impulse wouldn't have killed you, but for invoice (and I know in 2008 how hard it was to get an Evo Apex Silver in STL!!!!!!!), they might as well treat you right. I bought before the economy tanked totally. ce la vi. No regrets for an extra grand or two for this. Priceless owning an Evo X. Folks w/o Evo's can't really relate to car and driving stories. Sort of makes us unique, hard to relate to rebels.

EDIT: And if the extra thou or two is the reason you DON'T buy an Evo, it's something that's just not important enough for you to own. Just my two cents on "value".

The one thing about the TBE and this idle issue.... I know my AFR leaned out, it had to. So I'm getting a lot better MPG without the hard stuff with this setup. Maybe the 2010 stock tune leaned some for MPG and the smoke issue. I've read that tuners say the increases in the 2010 tuned aren't as much as our pig 2008 ones are tuned, even flashed.

idk if this has been posted yet, but try replacing the fuel pump relay with a new blue relay.
