Which FMIC?

** Garrett Core - Check out the fin pack how it gets very restrictive towards the middle and it's also pieced together instead of a 1 piece internal fin pack.

** Garrett Core On Top
** ETS Core On Bottom (See the difference in fin pack, we use 1 large section where the Garrett is chopped up and not even. It also becomes very restrictive in the center of the core with the taper.

** Pictures from the front so you can see it's a Garrett core.
Not at war... You don't think the customers have a right to see what they are buying? This is a "BEST FMIC" thread.. You say it's the best.. I think it's far from the best when it's pieced together with what looks like scrap.
We spend tons of money on R&D and manufacturing our cores... Then we cut this "BEST" core apart and it looks like they took a bunch of scrap and put the intercooler together.. You tell me how that charge row is going flow well?

I don't know what kind of double bladed lumberjack axe you cut that with but I know of all the cars I dyno and catalog nothingness beat the Garrett cores, to include anything from ETS that I've ever seen. Unless you've edited it you had posted once the Garrett cores were exceptional but because of cost you have your own. Which is BS anyway as youmsurely do not make your own core or have designed a core.
Carry on, I have much more enjoyable things to do than be insulted as you did a few posts ago.

If you need an example. You run an 18" wide core on an Evo X. The bumper has a 20" opening. Here is a tip. The first thing you do when building an intercooler is maximize the surface area. Then you look at the fin density and move to the thickness. You kinda went backwards and put a small 18" wide core... the opening is 20" the fin pack is the same across the board, you can't control the Garrett line up. Then you went 4.5" thick.
Just because you built it doesn't make it the best....

I like going with quality parts, hence why I ran all Perrin parts on my Subie. To me they had the best parts, had a lot of R&D and a large selection. I personally do not care about wether the parts are JDM or USDM. To me I like CBRD, AMS , Perrin and I think they all make quality stuff. Now thanks to this thread I also like ETS. A Plus about AMS and ETS are they are track proven. Ryan Gates and his time attack car and ETS and their 9 sec evo X. I do not know to much about Bushur, I have not really looked ito them as much but these other brands spark my interest more.
I do not know for sure what intercooler I want yet (leaning towards ETS), but I know I want an AMS downpipe and a CBRD Lite turbo
. So in the end I think certain brands make certain parts better.....
