I don't know about others, but what I can say is that both AMS, and ETS are proven good quality FMICs. As for the "groupie" comment, I voted AMS, and I'm far from one. One the other hand, then I guess "Ryan Gates" is a groupie huh!?!?

C'mon son!?!? For real. There's no need to bash a product if you yourself have not even tested it. For a certain reason they're leading in the polls right now. No beef intended towards anyone at all. As for I'm not a fan of cyber thug'n. Just placing out a proven AMS fact above.

I'm sure the other front mounts on the polls are good quality products, I've just not came across someone whom I personally know that actually has them. AMS I personally know a few guys making good power, and ETS I have a family member, and he's extremely excited about the power he's made. Lets just keep it simple and vote plus give comment on what you've already tested.

On the other hand for the genlleman whom started the post, good luck on your choice.

We can fit our 4.0" behind the crash beam with no trimming.

Thanks!

I vote ETS one of the best values with quality still in mind.

Just poking again. The cast endtanks are (IMO) a better choice. They are very consistent for flow, allow curved interior surfaces to reduce turbulence, incorporate the connection tubes, vs. sheet metal that is inconsistent, cheap, restricts flow and is always used by mfr's unwilling to invest in precision casting due to cost.

PERRIN while more expensive, you get what you pay for in quality, product support, testing and performance. Plus our new 5-year unlimited mileage warranty is included!

ETS Saab 9000 - Cast Tank (Example 1)

ETS Saab 9-5 - Cast Tank (Example 2)

We do offer cast end tanks on other intercoolers, but we offer 6 different sizes of intercoolers for the evolution 8/9/X. There is not a 1 size fits on all with the evolution 8/9/X, the hand fab tanks allow us to build an intercooler for everyones need. Not just 1 cookie cutter intercooler. We can change the inlet and outlet size from 2.5" to 3.0" on the fly. Thickness from 3.0" To 6.0" and several sizes in between.

The problem we have seen with most castings is the inlet and outlet size may have a 2.5" outer diameter but the inlet size is 2.0" due to the thickness of the casting. This is very restrictive. The hand fab intercoolers allow for an inlet and outlet size slightly under 2.5"

We build intercoolers daily and each one comes out perfect due to the quality of our jigs and high quality control policy.

Each ETS product is backed up with a LIFETIME warranty to the original purchasers. You can put 10 miles on it or a million miles, we will warranty it against any type of manufacturer defects.

The same cores we sell are the same cores we run our 9 sec evolution x, which happens to be the fastest and quickest evolution x in the country. They are proven to perform!

Thanks!

Michael

That's why I say that there are better cores out there, you see how some companies will explain their products. Don't listen to the groupies, go with what has been tested AND proven. I would really like to know why 52 people picked that core.

I agree but you know they will say some dumb s**t like "cause it is the best one out there and I read everyone is using it so it must be the best one".

I agree also. Like I stated before. I don't know about the other cores, but as for the AMS/ ETS cores, I personally know 2 individuals and they're completely happy with their results. I'm currently finishing my build, and own an AMS and will have input based on my results soon. I personally like the fact that ETS offers a 4" core, and it tested to put out even more awhp gain across the board, and again know personally know someone whom owns the 4" core and loves it. Who knows, maybe in the near future I may want to try out their 4" core myself. I voted based on what the OP had on the polls, and based on experience with one of the cores within it(AMS).

my vote is buy which one you can get the best deal on from any of the major names. You're not going to notice a difference on a bolt-on car and pretty doubtful that you'll notice a difference with an upgraded turbo either. The AMS core is one of the "smallest" out there (like an inch maybe?) and it's held up to Ryan Gates's power levels.

A lot of heat and marketing is devoted to FMICs for some reason when the choices are all pretty good (from the major names) focus your energy elsewhere.
