Cold Start Issues?

Went out to my 2010 x tonight to leave and turned it over for the normal time and no fire. Stopped and tried a gain and it fired up after a long try. Im wondering if anyone else has issues starting in the cold its about 40 degreese now. Once it started it was fine ran perfectly normal. I had this happen two weeks ago but not as bad started right up the second time. I have a blue relay ordered and on its way. could this be the problem with the black fp relay? Any input would be helpful.

lol happened to me once....

I was also parked on my hilly driveway once and it was quite cold. tried to roll down in nuetral then tried first and the car wouldn't buldge. I physically rocked myself and it fixed the problem. I think my brake pads froze condensation to the wheels or something. cheers haha

My 2010 gsr did this last night. Got home from work. A couple hours later I went to start the car to head to dinner and it cranked for 4 or 5 seconds before finally starting. It was probably in the low 50s or high 40s when it happened. Hadnt happened again though...

Take your car into the dealership and tell them what is happening. There is a known issue with certian relays in the car. They should replace them with updated ones. I had the same issue and mine were replaced for free.

switch to thinner oil possibly, i was watching something on the thinner thinner weights are meant for cold temps...saying that it makes it easier for the oil to lubricate through the engine.try that.

what i do is turn the key to position right before ignition, wait 3-4 seconds while the fuel pumps get ready, then try to fire up the engine. I think when you do it this way it allows fuel to get into the engine.

When was your 2011 manufactured? My 2010 was produced in April and came with the blue relay. Interesting that yours didn't.

^idk, how do I find out when it was manyfactured?

yeah, I thought it was kinda weird to that it didn't have the new relay since it was a tsb...

was it only your fuel pump relay that was switched for the blue one, or all of the black relays were switched out for the blue one? can you send me a pm with a pic of your fuse box? I wanna compare it to mine...

but speaking of blue relay, i'm surprised nobody else brought it up, isn't that the original fix for the cold start issues?
OP do you have the new blue relay for your fuel pump?
