AMS downpipe + Ichiba Test pipe...Need Tune??

Hey guys I just had the AMS downpipe and Ichiba test pipe installed on my evo x, with the T1R CEL fix. No check engine light, but do i still need a tune?

I also have an aftermarket exhaust, intake and upper intercooler pipe installed too...

I also read that if you dont get a tune, overboost and "lean condition" will occur? i read up on what those are...but im still kinda unsure.

Indeed get a tune. Like you mentioned you'll overboost, especially if the weather is getting colder near you as well.

I will be about the same situation with op and wonder when you guys all mentioned to get a tune... would that be a professional tune (few hundreds $) or get an AP to modify fuel map?

Either is fine,

A stage 2 AP map would suffice with the OP's mods, but a custom tune would net you a bit more gains...

a turbo car needs remapping to get any real advantage out of aftermarket parts

whether it's safe or not, you aren't getting much out of the mods without a retune

be definition the mods would need to directly correlate to the warranty issue

however, the reality is virtually any mod will give the dealer a reason to deny a warranty claim

you can always flash your car back to the stock rom prior to going to the dealer for servicing
