Have a few questions/ need advice.
I have had my evo x for a few weeks now. And while I dont plan on putting mods on it now, I was going to order them and put them on in the spring. I plan on doing some basic bolt-ons. Cat-back, intake, new intercooler pipes/intercooler. I have only had experiance modding NA cars. So just for those basic bolt-ons would I really need to have it tuned. I know for optimum performance and the most from them the answer is yes. But if I didnt right away it wouldnt hurt the car? And I know on some turbo'd cars a cold air intake can mess with the cars idle and increase turbo lag. So for an intake is my best bet a cold air or short ram? If it was NA i'd go cold air no problem. I just wanted some insight into this from experianced members since this is my first time modifying a turbo'd car.

You don't see many cold air intakes for turbocharged cars since the intercooler serves that function. Just get a larger fmic. It obviously can't hurt but they seem to cost more.

really a tune is your best bet. AP is a great if you need to change maps often. If not a custom tune is the way to go. It will get you the most out of your mods. I would suggest putting a tune of some sort into any modding budget.
I do plan on it sometime during or twards the end of next summer. But as soon as the winter is over I just want to get some basic bolt-ons done. I want to put off a custom tune until I run more boost later next year. Why pay for something then have to pay for another one 4 months later.
