I dont know if I would wait too much longer. The new model is rumoured to be a hybrid of sorts so the car is going to change a lot.

I was speaking to my salesman at my local mitsu dealer and they are already being told by the offices in Japan that mitsu's new direction as a company is going to be fuel efficiency. That means smaller cars. (not performance) They are bringing in a car next year to compete directly with the "smart for two". I saw the pamphlet with my own eyes..... looks like a little bubble with 4 wheels.

The other way of looking at this is that they have worked out some of the minor flaws of the first year Xs. Compared to the 2008s, the 2010s have a better info screen, nicer-looking taillights, aux input in the stereo, Bluetooth standard (not sure how that work in the '08s), etc.

And for 2011, Mitsubishi is finally allowing the USA more flexibility with two of the most popular (and contentious) options: the automanual gearbox and leather seating.

It's never been a better time to buy an X!
