Evo X problems (rev hang) help please!

When i drive or rev the engine to around 5k-6k on neutral sometimes it take a while for the rpm to go down. This started happening after i installed an accessport, R Suction intake and catback. What do you guys think the problem is? I really dont think its normal.

This happen to me as well. It's rev hang. I was running the Cobb Stage 2 and it only did it while I was running that map. I would switch back to stock tune, no rev hang.
Then I went and got tuned at CBRD.....problem solved!

So a tune should really eliminate it. I just dont know any tuning places in the Greater Toronto area. Any other suggestions?

AMS does E-Tuning. You could do that.

Never done it before and someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is tuning your car through email. They send you a map you, you flash it to your car, do some logging with your AP, send the info back then they tweak the tune for best performance and send it back to you.

Contact AMS and get the low down but I think that is it in a nutshell.

Really depends on who you go too but that is something you def. do not want to shop the cheapest price for.

I would say anywhere between $400-$600 but with those you are paying for DYNO time as well.

Have no clue what an E-Tune would run you.

I think it is so when you let off the gas abruptly you don't give the engine/drivetrain a whiplash effect. Sometimes it is annoying though.

when you get rev hang, (obviously in neutral) push the clutch in and release. rev will drop.
