I don't notice a difference with rev hang. Car is faster, feels great, but if I am in neutral and rev it, it still hangs then gradually decreases down in RPM's. Not sure if this is a 'problem' per say, but I don't know if what you are concerned about is somewhere other than doing it this way?
I came from a Evo 8 for 10yrs and now i bought a X with 7,000 miles and INSTANTLY noticed this when reving at a stop light.. it would hang.. then fall.. i fricken thought the car was broken. But.. it kept happening so i figured it is normal. Is it normal? Or did some guy get a tune before me and jack **** up?
What it does:
Leaning out fuel while decel in the low load area, 10&15, from 5k5 1/min down to 1k5. Engine braking while rolling downhill is much stronger.
Does NOT close the throttle entirely. Affects your STFT heavily (+12%+) but as far as I can see does not influence LTFT on a long term basis.
With those settings, rev hang still appears in 3rd and 2nd gear sometimes, but overall it's much better.
I was having the same issue for ever with the accessport but yes if you get a good e tuner either ams or look up rickerman tunning and he can do it as well. Just let them know what is going on I fortunately ended up switching to Evo scan and going open source and had a dyno to fix it all but I have a few friends that have had this issue and Chet the owner of rickerman tunning fixed it for them using the accessport.
