The X can be just as fun as an 8...I do miss my 8, however the X with a bit more power is just as fun and a lot better for daily driving.

 

Same here! Love the refinements of the X while still having 95% of the thrills as my IX.

 

Haven't owned an X or a 335i, but I've driven all 3 lol. Owned an VIII for 4 years and would still have it if it didn't get wrecked. After driving the 335i I noticed I really liked the creature comforts of it. Then when I drove the X I saw it as a nice compromise as most are saying. Its still got a bit of a raw side, but at the same time with the 2010+ X's you can get some leather a nice stereo from the factory, fast key, steering wheel mounted controls etc, but still kick *** on a road course. And yes it is very tuner friendly.
