lmao! Some of the responses to this thread are hilarious!
If the person who wrote that message doesn't know you personally, then wow... They are a huge ignorant fool. How do they know you can't drive a manual? Not all owners of automatics are helpless in a manual transmission car.

Subaru guys are something else, and for the record I used to have a couple WRXs and loved them. Subaru used to be a great community of true automotive enthusiast, but has morphed into a bunch of cynical, insecure, self righteous, and pompous ****** who really hate anything that's not a Subaru.
The old school Subaru friends that I still hang out with are pretty cool, but even they like to remind me of how my interior is all plastic, and trunk is so small, and my motor/transmission will fail, followed by exclamations of how coilovers and swaybars will make their Scoobs handle better than the Evo.
I know many of you, as well as myself, are former Subaru and members of the Suby forums, and see this attitude in spades, especially in a thread where there's a road test of some sort between the two. It's pathetic.

I always try and be as friendly as possible to anybody that appears to be an automotive enthusiast, but especially a fellow all-wheel drive guy. I will always throw up the deuces, in my years of driving an Evo, I have NEVER had a Subaru owner return the gesture. Never have been able to understand why that is. I have friends that drive STI's and I really don't wish to make generalizations about any group of people, but its pretty disappointing.
One of my oldest friends got the STi when it first came to our shores. He was also one of the first to congratulate me on my first Evo purchase
