getting ticked and frustrated **updated**

I went to the shop this morning around 10, I went in and they said to walk into where they work on cars and mike was in there, Mike is the guy who did the work. When I went in I saw my car put back together so my initial thought was its either really good or really bad. I talked to mike and he said they got everything in and done, they were only waiting for the fluids to top things off, and get everything situated like bleeding the clutch line and that they were hoping to get it back to me later today. So I went in ready to raise some hell and walked out happy which is always good.

I dropped my car off at a shop to get my flywheel and clutch installed (ams ring also) on last wednesday, They said at the latest they would have it back to me on monday so they could finish things up if needed. I called monday morning and a guy answered and didnt know much about it because the person who was working on it was on at a fire (volunteer). I said ok and called back late afternoon a few hours before they closed. The guy answered (who was working on my car) and said they started taking it apart, But couldnt get the transfer case off so they stopped working on it because they had to do other jobs (on the thurs and friday of last week). But that they were going to work on it a little more before they went home, And also said that he would call me when they got it off or found anything out to let me know. I have not heard a word yet about it and its going into thursday now. They have had my car a week and its getting outragous now. Tomorrow or friday, More likely tomorrow I am driving down there and being like wtf whats the deal with my car I dont have money to keep getting rentals this is bull****. I talked to my brother in law today and he used to own a repair shop. He informed me that since I never signed a work order that I am technically not bound to pay them anything (mass state law) so if they finsihed it and wanted to charge a huge amount I could take them to court and probably win. I dont know if thats true or not but I will look into it if needed. I JUST WANT MY CAR BACK.

Good luck bro. I was in your shoes once before, but for 4 long months. The guy that was building my motor was in the coast guard. He went out to sea a lot. Keep your head up and never go to them again.

If it gets any more out of hand, you could just have it towed to a more reputable shop...

and if they try to charge you, well like you said, you didn't sign ****, so you're good.

I'm gonna have to agree with what most people are saying. I am a service manager at a shop and it sounds to me they are giving you the run around about what they are doing. If I were you I would stop down at the shop and pay them a visit. If there is something that they can't do then I would just take the car somewhere else, in your case you may have to tow it. Sometimes trying to save money isn't always worth it, many times you get what you pay for.

tow your car to a reputable shop. you may have to put their name out there on the forum with a bad review so they can get their ish together.

That's pretty crappy of them. Give them a bad rating on BBB.com or tell them you're going to. That just might scare them into getting there crap together. Hope everything works out for you soon.

everything in life is like that, doctors, surgeons, trainers, mechanics, ones you give your live to others hands you can finish with a huge smile or 6' underground. my worst nightmare with my evo was at billsides mitsubishi dealership, where i had a friend. i trust him and the mechanics in the shop screw all my rims, mounting the new tires. when i asked them for a new set of rims even my friend back off and leaved me alone to save his job.
trust nobody
go there and make your show
