well, i called every place on car-part.com that had an Evo 9 listed. No one has this part. I'm gonna have to wait until I reach 50 posts before I can post up a WTB thread in the Private section. I'll continue to pm guys who will possibly have it. If anyone can source the assembly for me, let me know.

Installation

Hey everyone,

Trying to install the sunglasses / interior light into the Evo IX as mine didn't come with one. I'm told I hve to mod the plug, although I can't find anything about how to do this anywhere.

Help please

FYI, since this thread got bumped...the Evo 9 sunglass holder will NOT fit in the X. The hole in the X headliner is wider than the piece.

i have a ix holder sitting at home for this reason, got it when i had the gts but in that car the sun roof motor prevents installation. the peice has been outa site outa mind since before i got the X, but should fit since there is no motor up there. and i don't recall it being to small for the opening, if anything you need to make the cut in the headliner bigger.

Jesus Christ, i have two pair in the door pocket, and one pair stuffed in a foam " cell phone holder" in one of the center cupholders.

If you like, i can put a Mitsubishi logo on one, tell you its JDM, and send it out for $185.
