The AMS downpipe replaces the downpipe and restrictive o2 housing with one huge housing and 3" pipe. The ETS and MAP ones go about it a different way by replacing the o2 with an unmarried setup with a separate area for the waste gate to dump the expended gasses.

Your tune/tuner will make the biggest difference. Just remember that thermogenic expansion plus exhaust velocity = fast spool and more HP. You will be happy with any of your choices.

Me personally, I like the price, performance and sound of the ETS open dump. It's almost like opening a cutout when going WOT.

i went with the ETS Recirc. Very happy with what I have. I have a buddy that went with the o2 dump like Euro did, however he has opposite feelings about it. he didn't like the sound as much and honestly niether did i :/. To each his own though.

Exactly. It doesn't bother me because I don't ever go WOT on the road, and rarely ever push the pedal passed 1/4 of the way because I have my son strapped into his Recaro baby seat most of the time. For those times when I'm on the track, though... It's awesome.

Sound wise, no. Not until you go WOT. There is a video of an OB X doing autocross on YouTube if you want to hear it. Performance wise, I think it's smoother because the wastegate is dumping the gasses out instead of creating a small area of turbulence. ETS has a nice animated airflow picture on their site to show it.

Did you just write that someone ran at an autocross with a direct-dump wastegate? I assume it wasn't an SCCA event....

Look up user name chrisjuliano on YouTube. It's there.
I doubt it's SCCA, though.

I'm on my phone otherwise I'd paste a link.

Figured out how to do it on my phone. There are other videos, but none appropriate for the forum because the drivers are on the street. Just search ETS open dump. I don't have any videos of my car because I just have a DSLR camera.
