son of a b!tch! i cant believe what i am seeing. im just glad it wasnt somewhere out in town or something if it wasnt arsen and was the car. i really hope they catch the *** that did this, this is just ridiculous.....
i was hoping it wasnt yours and it was something someone saw, then i could say something like, they probably burned it to the ground after a leaking rear main seal, slipping stock clutch, cracked fuel line, failing relays, and all the other crap us x owners are having to deal with.
what will you move on to?

stock exhaust? did you remove any of the exhaust heat shields? stock fuel pump? how long was the car sitting before it caught fire? not that I expect you to admit any possible mistakes for insurance reasons, but just some thing that cross my mind looking at the pictures. the fire seems to have been most intense near the fuel pump
if any of the fuel line fittings melted, then it might not be arson. just staying.

Wow that is a messed up situation.
That definitely look like arson. Fire started in the interior.
I gotta ask though, has the insurance company paid you out for the car already? I mean, a 12 hour turnaround on paying out a claim is super fast. Especially when arson is involved. Insurance companies usually like to see police reports and get good statements from vehicle owners.
The reason for this is insurance fraud.
Many people who owe more than a car is worth, are sick of making payments or cannot unload it simply report the car stolen or burn it to the ground.
I am not saying that you set your car on fire. Please don't take it that way. Just consider it from an insurance company or outside persons perspective.
I noticed from some earlier posts that (if it was indeed you that posted) that you are 19 years old. It appears that you have already owned some high end cars (an STI I believe) and that you also own another WW Evo. Older Post
At 19 years old, I don't see how that is really possible without being quite wealthy or having some very creative financing. If you have gone the financing route, than thats going to be some other flags to be looked at. Does he have a job to pay for all these car payments?...
Who are his enemies? And what has he done (or what have his enemies perceived that he has done) to burn his vehicle in front of his house? Cause that is a powerful message to send.
Just prepare yourself for the questions. They may come. And it may complicate your payout. Then again, they may never come. Good luck. Its a crappy situation.

Assuming this is not mechanically related at all and excluding Divine Intervention, there are only 2 possible solutions to this:
a) Someone hates you/your car and it ain't random. Another member pointed out your "funny" license plate. Though these things can be meant as tongue-in-cheek, it's my personal experience that drivers who actually order those kinds of plates transfer the same attitude while driving, even once in a while. Essentially, someone hated you THAT MUCH to do this to you. So the real question is, wtf have you been doing while driving in your Evo?
b) Insurance fraud. I'll leave it at that.
