nope, purchased a brand new '10 GSR

 

bought it used with 40500 miles on it. it now has almost 52k miles on it. still runs awesome, no issues with anything.

 

I bought an 08 in April of 2010 with 13k on the odo, only issue I had was the clutch went only 300mi down the road, other than that, everythings ok. It now has 22k on the odo and running smooooooth.

 

Bought my 2010 in Dec from Southcoast with almost 11k on it, now has almost 15k on it. No issues other than the usual rattles

 

Bought mine used in January with 12k miles. Only issue so far is a peeling brembo caliper.

 

One bump for a few more responses [if there are any] for the poll.

 

Got an 08 GSR new with zero issues so far..(knock knock)

 

got a 2008 GSR with 29k miles, there wasnt anything "wrong with it" but just a couple of scratches on the front bumper near the bottom...but hell i've hit my car on steep a$$ ramps/driveways, so i couldnt hate on that and also one scratch about 1" long on passenger side rear door...but aside from that, its LEGIT

 

Here's the honest deal. You might get a good used one, but it isn't guaranteed. You owe it to yourself to thoroughly check out the car and look for signs of existing mods, or worse, hastily removed mods and the car put back to stock.

It's an unfortunate fact of life that some people are selfish, and if they are trading in their car, they probably sold off as many parts as they could and didn't give it quite the care they did when originally modifying it.

If you cruise around this forum and look at the FAQs and stickies, you will learn signs to look for.

Personally, I would not want to buy a pre-owned Evo. If I did, it would be my intention to be able to find a car that had never before been modified, or was modified in nearly the exact way I wanted and not ever abused.

 

bout my 08 with 5,000 miles. now has 24, 000 no issues and is holding up fine with the mods.

 

bought mine almost a year ago with 32k, only issue was a ruined clutch 2k miles after I bought it and now has 45k and runs great!

 

bought my 08 X in November with 15K miles on it. So far the only issue are the reflash to fix the boost at higher RPMs and the oil leak on the front engine cover. Other than that I love the car!!!

 

I have always bought used. Depreciation sucks! I bought my 2010 with 770 miles, almost new lol. Got a great deal that I couldn't pass up.

 

bought an 08 last fall. Has 6k miles, as well as some quirks(issues)... but mine is a rare example as its hardly stock except in apperance.

 

Bought my Evo VIII with 24k miles on it and the dip **** that had it before put non heat conductable clamps on all the intercooler piping. That was only the start of my problems. I therefore bought my Evo X new with 12 miles on it!
