I asked my Dealership about this issue and asked if he could order me the blue relays and he said that replacing the relays in my Evo would void my warrenty and also he said that the problem was only with the normal Lancers....Any info?

I asked mine too and he said unless my car was experiencing issues related to the relay and fell between a certain build date, they couldn't help me. Gotta replace them on your own.

Not worried about buying the relays it's the fact that he said it voids my warranty that worries me.

Trust the community dude, the dealership isn't going to void your warranty because you replaced a part. For example, if your headlight goes out and you replace it with a new, OEM one, then they won't void your warranty, even if the replacement bulb is somewhat different from the old one. The same situation applies. You are replacing an OEM part with another OEM part. Do it, it very well may save your motor in the future. Besides, they're never going to look in your fuse box just to see if you're running blue relays.

Also, tell your dealer to suck it as the TSB explicitly states that this applies to EVOs: http://www.sr20deracing.com/looneytu...002_relays.pdf
Ironically, the TSB doesn't mention the fuel pump relay, but as evidenced by the forums, you already know you should replace that one.

And don't buy it from the dealer anyway, they're gonna overcharge you an arm and a leg.

Blues relays

Hey I see everybody on here talking about replacing blue or green relays with the stock ones but I just got mine in from the dealership and they’re orange, I was wondering if those are good to install or if I should order the green or blue ones?

Could you just replace all 9 black ones with orange ones there cheap enough?

Angry How in the world does one remove these relays?!?

I have removed the Relay Box - Mitsubishi (8565A261) from the mount and taken off both upper and lower covers. How in the world do you remove the actual relays in the box? Trying to pull/force them out with tools only damaged relay shell. Is there some sort of locking mechanism or clip that I am not seeing that keeps those relays locked in place?
