15k Service question.

About to get my 15k done and the dealership says they do a throttle body service, does anyone know what this is? Also the dealership I called said that they don't do transmission fluid change but I was under the impression that they do engine oil, tranny, tcase and rear diff?

A throttle body service is probably them just spraying some cleaner into the tb and clean it up some. The fluids are recommended to be changed at 30k for "regular conditions" or 15k for "severe conditions".

i would change your coolant yearly (roughly 15K) but most all the other ones 30K unless it's your oil which is every 3K for me.

if you have time, you'll save money just doing it all yourself. F! dealerships, everything is WAY overpriced.

Yeah the fluids aren't that bad. Just put the car up on some jackstands and change them all yourself. The procedure is literally "empty out fluid" followed by "refill with fluid." Don't give the dealer money or the chance to mess up your car.

+2.... I went to the dealership once.. and they told me that due to the cupping one 2 of my tires that "there maybe a alot of things wrong, but we need to look..."

I went there for a just some parts and an oil change( I had just gotten the car and did not know any better)....

forget the dealership man... waste of money.
