Led hyperflash

does anyone know if the evo x will hyperflash (when your turn signal flashes rapidly) when u replace any of the lights in the headlights with led. i was planning to change my drl to a white color led.

superbrightled.com said that it might do that.

It will only do that if you replace your turnsignal bulbs with LEDs and don't also install a resistor. Other bulbs are not going to affect your turnsignal.

ahh ok so leds in drl is fine but why dont install resistors. whats the downside of it? i was also thinking of doing my turn signal either white or get another yellow. i dont like how the turn signal housing looks orange. the chrome color reflects the bulb which has a orange tint on it. was hoping the led would get rid of the orange color when its not on.

You only need resistors if you are putting LEDs in your turn signals. Most people don't because it's something else to buy and you have to splice them into the wiring harness, usually solder them in. If you don't want to orange reflection when it's not on, you can get chrome coated bulbs that are orange when on. I have them in both front and rear on mine because I have clear rear turn lenses and like you don't want the orange reflection either front or rear.

LEDLIGHT.COM is where I get all mine. I don't think that is the case in the EVO. A lot of newer vehicles don't run relays anymore, they are all built into control modules.
