A few Questions that search does not answer:

I have a 2010 Evo X with 2455 Miles currently on the odometer. I don’t drive it much, as it is my fun car. I have a daily for everything else. I have changed the oil 3 or 4 times now, since time is out weighing the miles put on the car. I have a few mods, UICP, turbo inlet, K&N drop-In, CBE and tuned by AMS. I live in Illinois.
So knowing this, here are my questions:
1. I know the Evo X takes 5w-30 Full Synthetic. I (Like a dumbass) changed the oil at 500 miles with mobile 1 5w-20 EP, then again at 1200, 2000, and finally changed just today. I changed the oil today with 5w-30 EP mobile 1 since I realized I was putting in the wrong oil being 5w-20. Do you think I can do any damage to the motor for doing so? (Running 5w-20 for so many miles)

2. When I filled the oil up today, I drained for about 30-45 min. then filled about 4.75 qts. When the motor was warm, it read somewhere in the middle, close to high end mark. Now the engine is cold, and I checked again, the level reads just a little above the full Line. Is this bad? Should I drain?

3. I got a tune at AMS with all the above mods except for the CBE. I put on the CBE after the tune. Do I need a re-tune? Or is it good to do one anyway for good measure? Maybe adding an FMIC, and 3-port at the same time?

4. Since I do not put many miles on the evo, what is the general rule of thumb for a full synthetic motor oil and other oils the car takes? (Ie. Motor oil changed every 3k or 3 months? Or can I go 5 months? Instead of a 30k service or 15k service, should I just change once a year, as I will not be putting on all those miles?)

5. I went outside in the garage and I opened the door to my Evo.. Did I just void my warranty?
Thank you all for your responses.

Rule of thumb. Drive your car more you will know how she is supposed to feel and react to any changes you have made.

1. No issue
2. No issue if only a hair above, if all you put was 4.75 it's fine not too much
3. You can retune but no need for a cat-back
4. You can go more than every 3 months just pay attention to the miles.
5. Maybe

Your warranty was voided once you test drove it.

Thank you for responding. Anyone else care to chime in. I know the questions are a little on the dumb side, and i should know better, but i get paranoid, and then have none to ask on top of it.

You should be good, even if you did cause excessive wear it really wasn't for all that long..especially if you didn't drive the car hard. (and you wont notice)

the slight over fill is a non issue

CBE doesn't have to be re tuned, but you can and it would yield some benefit

I thought it was 3k miles or 1 year? why have i been hearing 3 months lately?

you warranty is indeed void

I wouldn't worry about 5months on synthetic oil. I'm going to do my drivetrain fluids once per year but I average 15k and road course the car.

you have nothing to worry about and do an oil change every 3000 miles or once a year which ever comes first
